Transitioning from hospital to primary care

Spoke to some Registrars yesterday regarding transition from hospital to General Practice.  

Here are some quick tips that we shared with them

1.  Transitioning from “more of a zoom in” approach to “more of a zoom out” approach.  

2.  Transitioning from “more of a rescuing mindset” to “more of a coaching “ mindset. 

3.  Transitioning from ”more of a biopsychosocial with a bio heavy approach to “more of a sociopsychobio” approach emphasizing the psychosocial.  

4.  Transitioning from “this is a discharge” to “this is simply a pause”.
