The main purpose of this site is to create a platform to support those who are preparing for their RACGP exams particularly the OSCE RACGP exams. In addition, we are here to promote Mental Health awareness and training, better self care for Doctors, and a biopsychosocial model of health for patients. We are independent of the RACGP.

Finding our Ikigai can help us thrive in our work
Work is a large part of many people’s lives, so it makes sense to invest the time to find the right career path for us. The trouble is, many may do it by trial and error, go with the flow, follow someone else’s path or generic advice.
Often when people are unhappy or not thriving in their career, it may reflect a significant gap between one’s job and one’s Ikigai.
Ikigai represents the following 4 combined characteristics about one’s job or career.
1. Something in line with our values and are passionate about.
2. Something we are good at or can become good at.
3. Something the world needs.
4. Something we can get paid for.
Fortunately, medicine is so broad that if we know what our values are, we will probably find something in medicine that will resonate.
The trick is to know what those values are.
