Managing someone with a chronic disability in General Practice is very challenging but very challenging does not mean that it is impossible. Recently, I have made contact with Professor Nick Lennox and his staff at the Queensland Centre of Intellectual and Developmental Disability, School of Medicine, University of Queensland, to help us explore the "why" we have to consider doing an annual health assessment for this important group of patients.
The main purpose of this site is to create a platform to support those who are preparing for their RACGP exams particularly the OSCE RACGP exams. In addition, we are here to promote Mental Health awareness and training, better self care for Doctors, and a biopsychosocial model of health for patients. We are independent of the RACGP.
