Colorectal and General Surgeon
Dr Andrew Renaut is a specialist colorectal and general surgeon, based in Brisbane. He trained in the UK, USA and Australia, including a dedicated period of research resulting in a Masters of Surgery and a thesis entitled ‘immune mechanisms in cancer’. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic colorectal and general surgery, and also colonoscopy and gastroscopy.
His practice includes the full range of colorectal and anorectal conditions, such as bowel cancer, IBD, diverticular disease, haemorrhoids, incontinence, fistulae and fissures. His general surgery practice includes conditions such as herniae and gallstones. The laparoscopic approach is employed as a routine.
Dr Renaut is also a media entrepreneur and is passionate about teaching. In addition to being a Professor of Surgery at Jiangnan University in China and Associate Professor of Surgery at Bond University, he has established, and is director of several media ventures and online education forums including:
